About Original Spec
Original Spec is a Southern California company that manufactures and imports Crew Bike Co. bicycles and electric bikes.
We started out of necessity: the bikes people actually want to ride cost more than most people can spend, and the bikes most people can afford aren't worth riding. There's a wide gap in the middle, and too much of what fills it is built to hit a price rather than to last.
We build for that middle. Real components, spec'd on purpose. Frames and e-bike systems we're willing to stand behind for years, at a price a that won't break the bank.
How we work
We control the Crew line end to end — spec, component selection, production oversight with our manufacturing partners, import, and warehousing here in Southern California. There's no distributor sitting between us and our dealers. When you have a question about a bottom bracket standard, a motor rating, or a controller revision, you're talking to the people who made the decision.
That direct control is what lets us hold the price down without cutting where it counts. Every dollar we save by removing a layer of markup goes back into the quality of the bikes we manufacture.
Why it matters to a dealer
Affordable shouldn't mean disposable, and it shouldn't mean a warranty headache that lands on your service counter. We spec for serviceability, we stock replacement parts, and warranty decisions get made here rather than escalated overseas.

Crew covers the full range: Big-wheel BMX, fixed-gear city bikes, Class-2 e-bikes, e-BMX, and electric mini pit bikes. It's built for riders who want a bike worth keeping without paying premium-brand money, and for shops that want that whole spread from one vendor.
